Mezam State Health & Humanitarian Fund
Mezam State is one of the biggest states in Ambazonia, with a heavily populated city of Bamenda and seven local government areas (LGAs) – Bafut, Bali, Mendankwe (B1), Mankon (B2), Nkwen (B3), Tubah, Santa – coupled with its proximity to the territory of Cameroun Republic, the effects of the war in these areas have been devastating.
Mezam County plans multiple projects across different areas. We assist victims of the genocide in Southern Cameroons wherever they may be. Due to the complexities of helping internally displaced persons in La Republique du Cameroun, and not expose any such persons to any added risk, information about funded projects in that area is not disclosed to the general public. So, no information published on this site should be interpreted as identifying an individual or group of individuals located anywhere in Southern Cameroons or La Republique du Cameroun. Despite the risks, we commit to never discontinue or terminate its support to protect the victims of genocide.
Widows and orphans of the war abound, and traumatized/disabled civilians and combatants, victims of the conflict need humanitarian assistance. Thousands are squatting under deplorable conditions in neighboring towns and villages like Mbouda, Bafoussam, Galim, and Bamenyam. Children’s education and economic activities have been shattered, access to healthcare and clean water is limited, resulting in high levels of preventable diseases and deaths.
The role of the Mezam County/State Health and Human Services is to identify people in need, conduct needs assessments, and galvanize support to provide much-needed assistance.
Your generous donations to Mezam State Fund will go a long way to help meet these needs and support the displaced until conditions are ripe for a safe return to their homes.
